If an NFL team wants to find a solid safety prospect late in the draft, Winston Guy, a.k.a. “The Predator”, will be a player that they’ll consider. After an above-average career his first three years at Kentucky, Defensive Coordinator Rick Minter joined the staff, the same Minter who had several current NFL coaches on his staff while he was the head man at the University of Cincinnati, including Jets head coach Rex Ryan, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. Minter developed Guy into one of SEC’s best defensive players as a hybrid safety/linebacker, though he’ll play strong safety at the NFL level.
