Darius Miller is Making his Case for a Starting Spot
As the season continues forward, senior Darius Miller has been quietly stating his case that he should be in the starting line up for the Kentucky Wildcats. Then, last night, he made his case loud and clear with one of the most acrobatic dunks ever seen on the floor in Rupp Arena.
He has averaged nine points, four assists, and four rebounds for the season; but in the last four games he has averaged 12 points, three assists and four rebounds the last four games. Assists and rebounds are about the same, but it seems as if he has found his niche in the offense and is finally asserting his way to the basket.
His leadership and defensive toughness cannot be overlooked either. It seems that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is the guy that gives the team some juice when they are a little down and Miller is the elder statesman that settles the rest of the guys down and helps them focus.
I’m not sure what Calipari will do, but I think Miller needs to start. But I am also fine with bringing Miller off of the bench. The great thing about this situation is that Miller could care less whether he starts or not. He just wants to win.
Headlines:
-The Vegas line for the UK/St. John’s match up was 22.5. The Cats won by 22. I wonder what the line for the UNC game will be?
-The blowhard seen above (like how the picture fits the text?) is Blaine Taylor, the head coach of Old Dominion. He is the one person in the country (besides Louisville fans) that isn’t impressed with Kentucky. After his team’s game against Kentucky, he said Terrence Jones was a “prima donna” and that Kentucky’s defense wasn’t that good. He’s an idiot.
-Tracy McGrady will be at Rupp Arena on Saturday to watch the Cats take on the Heels. I think we have our “Y”. Tracy McGrady joins LeBron James and Dirk Nowitski as NBA players he went straight to the pros from high school but count themselves as Wildcats.
-Morgan Newton will miss 4-6 months due to shoulder surgery. Here is to a speedy recovery and a doctor installing a rocket launcher in his socket.
-UK was the buzz around all the sports websites due to their crushing performance against St. John’s, Anthony Davis and his ALMOST triple double and the Miller DUNK FACE. Check out some links:

Last Night’s Games: #1 UK over St. John’s, Providence over South Carolina, Georgetown over #12 Alabama, Ole Miss over Depaul: Conferences are tied 2-2

Come on SEC, do work.
-And Finally: Who had the nastier dunk:
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Darius Miller
This is a terrible conundrum. It’s like picking your favorite kid or your favorite Spice Girl. You love them equally but there has to be something to set them apart. What do you think BBN? Discuss amongst yourselves.
Paul, I think we need to set up a poll on this one.
Peace Out. #BeatUNC
