Kentucky Football defensive back and Paducah, Kentucky native JD Harmon has signed with the Cleveland Browns.

JD Harmon just finished a great career at Kentucky. As a Senior, Harmon finished with 39 tackles and 2 interceptions. Harmon was a common staple in the Kentucky Football defense as well as special teams.

The Cleveland Browns have taken the chance on the young man from the western part of the state. the Browns impressed with their 2017 NFL Draft. With names like Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers, Deshone Kizer, and David Njoku, The Browns have made moves in key positions.

No one wants to write a team off from the get-go, but the Browns have been an exception for the past few seasons. It’s almost laughable at how bad Cleveland has been recently. Nonetheless, JD Harmon will almost certainly jump at the chance to play in the NFL no matter what team gave him the call.

NFL Hopeful

Kentucky Football fans saw a lot out of JD Harmon in his four seasons on the Kentucky defense. Although Harmon eventually relinquished his starting corner spot to Derek Baity, Harmon still played a key part in the defense for the Wildcats.

Harmon will join the Cleveland Browns in their rookie camp on May 12.

JD Harmon will have a chance to fight for a job in the 53 man roster in the NFL. If he does his job and shows that he can be a key contributor on special teams, we like his chances to make the squad. Harmon was not invited to the NFL Combine, but impressed at Kentucky Football’s pro day. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash at the pro day, which according to Jenn Smith of the Lexington Herald Leader, would’ve put him in the middle of the pack of Safeties and Corners in the Combine.
