Kentucky Basketball fans have a little bit of breathing room now that the Wildcats have reached the Sweet 16.

The Big Blue Nation held it’s breath in the final second of Kentucky Basketball’s victory over Wichita State in the round of 32 on Sunday Afternoon. The Wildcats entered the matchup after defeating Northern Kentucky University in a late night slug of a game. After watching the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, Kentucky Basketball fans will have time to reflect on the future of the program.

John Calipari was forced to pull out all the stops as his young team fought tooth and nail to stay in the game against a very tough tenth-seeded Shockers of Wichita State. Coach Greg Marshall has built an NCAA Tournament regular as the Shockers’ head man.

Kentucky will now hold it’s place in the Sweet 16 against the winner of UCLA and Cincinnati. But first, here are three things that we as fans have learned about this team so far in the tournament.
