We said, "Don't let Will Stein get hot," and the country messed around and let it happen.
Kentucky has landed five commitments today alone before the dead period starts tomorrow. Kentucky went into the day with the head coach finally back in Lexington, and it has made a huge difference in how they have been attacking the portal.
It officially began last night when Elijah Barnes decided to make it official at the Kentucky-Mississippi State game. It started off slow today, but boy, did business pick up in a hurry.
Kentucky signs former No. 1 RB CJ Baxter
Kentucky got the first visit from Baxter once he left Texas. He is the former No. 1 RB in the country in the Class of 2023. Injuries have slowed him down, but when healthy, he has shown the ability to be an elite back.
DB Mark Manfred III (Missouri)
Manfred is a former 3-star prospect in the Class of 2025 and has shown the ability to be a punishing tackler in high school. He will be a great addition to a defensive back room that needs depth.
Long Snapper Spencer Radnoti (Georgia State)
Do you want to have good special teams? You need to have a good long snapper. Stein and company think they have found their man in Radnoti.
WR Ja'Kayden Ferguson (Arkansas)
Once committed to Kentucky, Ferguson reopened his recruitment and picked the Razorbacks. Now, he is back. At 6'2", he has a huge catch radius, and that is something you really like to have on the outside.
OT Mark Robinson (UTEP)
We talked about Kentucky needing to find some tackles to help fill out the offensive line. They got Lance Heard from Tennessee, and now they have another option in Robinson. He was named the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year and was second-team All-Sun Conference while starting all nine games at left tackle for Southeastern University in 2024. He is 6'5" and 320 pounds.
That adds to the two from earlier this weekend:
K Adam Zouagui (South Florida)
The kickoff specialist will look to force every team to start deep in their own territory.
Safety Cyrus Reyes (Mississippi State)
Not only did the Cats beat the Bulldogs on the hardcourt, but they also took a great depth option at safety. Reyes had 11 tackles over two years with the Bulldogs.
What a day it has been for Will Stein, and it's not over yet. Keep an eye on DeAndre Moore.
