Who are the Lady Wildcats? A look into the new and improved women's basketball roster

Kentucky women's basketball is ushering in a new era under head coach Kenny Brooks, backed by a roster filled with fresh talent. Let's get to know the Lady Cats before the season officially tips off tonight at 5 from Memorial Coliseum; you can watch the game right here. In order of jersey number, your 2024-2025 Kentucky Women's Wildcats roster (all stats come from UK athletics)

0 Jordan Obi- 6'1" guard graduate transfer

Obi is a transfer from Ivy League Penn, where she was a first-team Ivy League nominee last season. She averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds.

2 Saniah Tyler- 5'6" guard junior

A holdover from the Elzy era, Saniah averaged 10 points per game last season.

3 Geogia Amoore- 5'6" point guard graduate transfer

Amoore is an All-American transfer from Virginia Tech. She has Final Four experience and will look to lead the team very similarly to how she played under coach Brooks at Virginia Tech. Amoore averaged 18 points per game and 6 assists per game. She is currently on several watch lists, including the country's Player of the Year list.

4 Lexi Blue- 6'2" point guard graduate transfer

A 4-star recruit, Lexi averaged 13 points and 5 rebounds a game, shooting 41 percent from 3-point land.

5 Cassidy Rowe- 5'5" guard junior

Rowe is a depth piece, another hold over from the Elzy era, she averaged 2 points a game last season.

7 Teonni Key- 6'4" forward junior transfer

Key came in after 2 years at North Carolina, where she averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds in 9 minutes a game.

8 Tanah Becker- 6'1" guard freshman

Tanah committed to playing for coach Brooks and brings in a versatile game. She averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block a game.

10 Dazia Lawrence- 5'8" guard transfer

Lawrence comes in from Charlotte, where she averaged 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal per game.

11 Gabby Brooks- 5'10" guard sophomore

Gabby is the daughter of current head coach Kenny Brooks. She averaged 8 points a game in high school and completed a redshirt year last year at Virginia Tech.

12 Dominika Paurová- 6'1" guard transfer

Dominika spent one year at Oregon State before transferring to UK. She averaged 5 points and 2 rebounds a game and played in the Elite Eight for the Beavers last year.

13 Clara Strack- 6'5" center transfer

Like Gabby and Georgia, Clara decided to follow Kenny Brooks to Kentucky when he accepted the job. Clara averaged 4 points and 4 rebounds a game overall but significantly upped her stats when she gained more playing time after an injury to the starter. In the last 6 games she appeared, she averaged 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game.

17 Clara Silva- 6'7" freshman center

Silva committed to Kentucky while playing in Spain, where she averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds.

32 Amelia Hassett- 6'3" junior forward

Hassett committed to Coach Brooks from the transfer portal, where she last played at Eastern Florida, where she averaged 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal per game.
