The transfer portal is closing for the Kentucky Wildcats tonight (December 28) at 11:59 pm, and barring a head coaching change, it won't reopen until the spring period. The only other way to lose players for the Wildcats is either a player declaring for the NFL Draft or retiring from football. Thus, it appears that the 23 players that Kentucky lost will be all they will lose until April. Unless some last-minute editions happen today (if so, we will update this page). Where did they all go?
First, it should be noted that the portal's closing doesn't mean that a player has to decide by the closing date; they only have to enter the portal by that date. Players may not all have decided on their next home, but many of them have. Here's a breakdown of where every Kentucky transfer has landed so far:
Barion Brown (WR) - LSU
Avery Stuart (DB) - Undeclared
Keeshawn Silver (DL) - USC
Walker Himebauch (LS) - Colorado State
Jarard Mosely (DB) - Lindenwood University
Courtland Ford (OL) - UCLA
Khamari Anderson (TE) - Arizona State
Tanner Lemaster (TE) - Eastern Michigan
Jayvant Brown (LB) - Undeclared
Tommy Ziesmer (DL) - Eastern Kentucky
Dane Key (WR) - Nebraska
Anthony Brown-Stephens (WR) - Undeclared
Jordan Dingle (TE) - South Carolina
Ben Christman (OL) - UNLV
Tyreese Fearbry (OLB) - Wisconsin
Noah Matthews (OLB) - Undeclared
Caleb Redd (OLB) - Kansas
Chip Trayanum (RB) - Toledo
Gavin Wimsatt (QB) - Undeclared
Brandon White (WR) - Hawaii
Trent Baker (LS) - McNeese State
Dylan Ray (OL) - Minnesota
Koby Keeneum (OL) - Mississippi State
Hardley Gilmore (WR) - Undeclared
The players that have yet to decide basically have as long as they want to pick a new school. However, as you can tell from above, most of Kentucky's players have already landed at a new school.
