The Kentucky Wildcats were rolling, Rupp arena was rocking, and as the Wildcats continued to pull away from Wright State in their opening game, Koby Brea did something epic. It really epitomized the game and the energy for the first game. He had an open three, and after he shot it, he turned to the crowd and celebrated with them before they even went in.

He turned around while the ball was in midflight to pump up Rupp Arena. The crowd loved the play, and fans of social media went wild. The camera operator played right into the clip by showing a person in the crowd holding up a "BOOM" sign. To have the sort of touch with a shot that you know is going in before it goes in is impressive; celebrating it before it drops is electric.

The comparisons were quick to Steph Curry, a famous hooper and the greatest three-point shooter of all time. He's known for these sort of momentum-gathering plays using the three-point shot.

Steph Curry is famous for making threes but turning around before they go in. Brea is channeling that magic to the Kentucky Wildcats. Here's an example of Curry doing this exact thing:

This Kentucky Wildcats team is a lot of fun, and the Rupp Arena crowd stayed in the game the whole time, no matter how far the Wildcats pulled away from Wright State. Even when the game was well out of hand, Rupp continued to celebrate every point and every electric play. It helped the players feed off the energy and continue to play hard, even when letting off the gas would have been easy.
Kentucky won its first game of the season and the first game of the Mark Pope era over Wright State 103-62, thanks to the energy and ability of players like Koby Brea.
