Kentucky travels to Neyland Stadium this Saturday to take on the Tennessee Vols. Tennessee is coming off back-to-back close wins, defeating Florida 23-17 and Alabama 24-17. They look to be riding high in the polls and on the field, as they are rated number 7 in both the coaches and AP polls this week.
Kentucky enters the game riding a three-game losing streak after an impressive road win at Ole Miss. Kentucky is 0-4 on the road in the SEC and 1-1 on the road. Maybe being away from Kroger Field can give them a little bit more incentive to win, especially now that Tennessee has announced a change to its iconic orange uniforms. They are going for a Venom-inspired dark mode uniform for the Kentucky game and announced they would like their fans to wear all black.

So, if Kentucky needed any more motivation to right the ship, maybe they could add this to the tape they will be watching. For all the players and especially the fans, how sweet would it be to go into Neyland and play spoiler, derailing Tennessee's playoff hopes as they did to us back in 2021? Tennessee leads the all-time series, 82–26–9, including giving Bear Bryant and his 1950 Wildcats their only loss, as Kentucky would finish the seasons 11-1.

How do you feel about the announcement, and what do you think about the dark mode unis? Would you like to see Kentucky do something similar in the future? One thing is for sure: Few things would be better for a Kentucky football fan than beating the Vols in Neyland during a blackout.
