The snow is falling outside, but savvy Kentucky fans know that means one thing: March Madness is just around the corner.
As the Wildcats gear up for the final stretch of the regular season, it is time to book your hotels and gas up the car. Whether you are following Mark Pope’s squad or Kenny Brooks’ team (or both), here is your complete guide to the 2026 SEC Tournaments.
Women’s SEC Tournament: Greenville, SC
- Dates: March 4–8, 2026
- Venue: Bon Secours Wellness Arena
- The Vibe: Greenville has effectively become the permanent home of SEC Women's Basketball, and they do it right. The arena is downtown, walkable to hotels and restaurants, and the "fan fest" atmosphere is top-notch.
- The Format: With 16 teams, the tournament starts on Wednesday, March 4. Wednesday: Seeds 9-16 play.Thursday: Seeds 5-8 enter (Single Bye).Friday: Top 4 seeds enter (Double Bye).
- Ticket Tip: If Kentucky secures a Top-4 seed, you don't need to buy tickets for Wednesday or Thursday. Save your money for the weekend sessions.
Men’s SEC Tournament: Nashville, TN
- Dates: March 11–15, 2026
- Venue: Bridgestone Arena
- The Vibe: Let’s be honest, Nashville is "Catshville." When the SEC Tournament is on Broadway, it feels like a Kentucky home game. With the team currently riding a five-game win streak, tickets are going to be harder to find than usual.
- The Format: Same as the women's side.Wednesday (March 11): The "Opening Night" for the bottom 8 seeds.Thursday: The 5-8 seeds enter.Friday: The Quarterfinals (Top 4 seeds enter).
- Why You Should Go: The energy in Bridgestone is going to be electric, and if the Cats finish in the Top 4, that Friday night session will be the hottest ticket in sports.
Pro Tip: Book your hotels now. These events always go super fast. With both Kentucky programs looking like they could make a run, the 3-day gap will give you just enough time to hit up both.
You can find ticket information on both events at the SEC Ticket Office, here.
