The SEC is heating up, but some teams are cooling off. Kentucky is riding a 4 game losing streak, and the Aggies a 6 game win streak. Let's see where everyone stands after the latest weekend of games.
1. Oklahoma (31-3, 9-3 SEC) (Last Week: 1)
Even the mighty Sooners can be humbled—Oklahoma took a loss this week, but let’s be real: they’re still the team to beat.
2. Texas (33-3, 6-2 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 3)
The Longhorns have been nearly untouchable this season, and while their SEC record isn’t as dominant as Oklahoma’s, their 15-0 home mark and overall play give them a slight edge in momentum.
3. LSU (31-3, 6-2 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 4)
LSU has been a juggernaut at home (24-1? That’s absurd!), and while they took a tough loss, their elite pitching and clutch hitting keep them firmly in the top tier.
4. Mississippi State (29-7, 6-2 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 2)
The Bulldogs stumbled this week, but don’t let that fool you—this team is for real. With an underrated pitching staff and solid road performances, they remain a legit SEC contender.
5. Texas A&M (31-5, 6-3 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 7)
How do you ignore a six-game winning streak? The Aggies are catching fire, and their perfect 5-0 road record proves they can win anywhere.
5. Florida (33-5, 6-3 SEC) (Last Week: 6)
The Gators are riding a three-game winning streak and playing their best ball at the right time.
7. Ole Miss (27-6, 4-3 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 9)
The Rebels may not have as many SEC wins as the teams above them, but the have the edge over the teams below them, for now.
8. Tennessee (29-7, 5-4 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 5)
The Lady Vols are solid but not spectacular in conference play. Their depth and experience should keep them in the fight, but they need a statement win soon.
9. Arkansas (26-7, 6-6 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 10)
The Razorbacks are back on track with a three-game winning streak. Their balanced attack and scrappy play make them a tough out.
10. Alabama (25-12, 4-4 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 11)
Alabama is finding its groove, and with a 15-5 home record, they could play spoiler as the season rolls on.
11. Kentucky (21-15, 5-7 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 8)
A four-game losing streak has the Wildcats sliding. They need to regroup fast.
12. South Carolina (26-7, 3-5 SEC) 🔺 (Last Week: 13)
The Gamecocks have an outstanding home record (21-3!), but have struggled out of the gate in the SEC.
13. Georgia (24-10, 3-8 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 12)
Losing two straight isn’t helping Georgia’s case. Their 18-5 home record is keeping them afloat, but they’re trending downward.
14. Missouri (18-17, 1-6 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 14)
It’s been a rough stretch for Missouri. A three-game losing streak and a single SEC win? Yikes.
15. Auburn (22-14, 0-12 SEC) 🔻 (Last Week: 15)
The only SEC team without a conference win, Auburn is in freefall mode. At this point, just getting one SEC victory would be a moral win.
Final Thoughts
The SEC is proving once again that it’s the toughest conference in softball. Oklahoma, Texas, and LSU are leading the way, while Texas A&M and Florida are heating up. On the other side, Kentucky, Missouri, and Auburn need to turn things around—fast.
