Week 2 of the college football season brought statement wins, shocking upsets, and a major reorganization of the conference hierarchy. While some teams took care of business against lesser opponents, others earned massive victories that have them rocketing up the board from last week. Here are our updated SEC Power Rankings heading into Week 3.

WBN SEC Power Rankings week 3

1. LSU (Previously: 1)
The Tigers handled their business against Louisiana Tech. While it wasn't the fireworks of their Week 1 win at Clemson, they were never in doubt. They remain the top team for now.

2. Georgia (Previously: 2)
Much like LSU, Georgia cruised to an easy victory over an FCS opponent. The Bulldogs are doing what they're supposed to do, and a major test still awaits.

3. Oklahoma (Previously: 11)
What a statement. The Sooners didn't just beat #15 Michigan; they dominated them in a 24-13 victory. This was the signature win of Week 2, vaulting Oklahoma into the top tier of the conference.

4. Tennessee (Previously: 3)
The Vols put up 72 points on ETSU. The offense is a machine, and while they drop one spot due to Oklahoma's massive leap, they are still a legitimate contender.

5. Ole Miss (Previously: 5)
Going on the road in the SEC and getting a comfortable win is always impressive. The Rebels' offense moved the ball well against Kentucky, and they hold firm in the top five.

6. Texas A&M (Previously: 6)
The Aggies looked sharp and explosive in a 44-22 win over Utah State. Marcel Reed and the offense are clicking, keeping them solidly in the conference's upper-middle class.

7. Missouri (Previously: 8)
Beating a Power Five rival like Kansas is always a big deal. The Tigers' offense was dynamic in a 42-31 shootout, earning them a bump up in the rankings.

8. Mississippi State (Previously: 15)
Hello, Bulldogs! In perhaps the second-biggest surprise of the week, Mississippi State took down #12 Arizona State 24-20. Jeff Lebby has his team playing with confidence, and they are the week's biggest mover.

9. Texas (Previously: 4)
The Longhorns bounced back from their Ohio State loss with a 38-7 win over San Jose State. It was a necessary victory, but their fall is due to the incredible weeks from Oklahoma and Mississippi State. And we need to see more from this team before we can put them back up near the upper echelon.

10. Alabama (Previously: 7)
The Tide beat ULM 73-0. It was a needed palate cleanser after the loss to Florida State, but it's hard to learn much from a game like that. They slide a bit as other teams notch more impressive wins.

11. Auburn (Previously: 10)
Hugh Freeze's team dispatched Ball State 42-3. They are 2-0 and look competent, but like Alabama, it's hard to judge them against this level of competition.

12. South Carolina (Previously: 9)
The Gamecocks handled SC State easily. They fall three spots not because of anything they did wrong, but because of the quality wins by teams previously ranked behind them.

13. Vanderbilt (Previously: 14)
Give Clark Lea credit. Vandy went on the road to a tough environment in Blacksburg and beat Virginia Tech 44-20. That's a quality Power Five road win that earns them a deserved move up.

14. Arkansas (Previously: 13)
The Razorbacks blew out Arkansas State 56-14. Taylen Green was electric, but they slip one spot due to Vanderbilt's more impressive victory.

15. Florida (Previously: 12)
Disaster in The Swamp. The Gators lost at home to USF, 18-16. There's no way to spin this. It's an abysmal loss that sends them plummeting toward the bottom of the conference.

16. Kentucky (Previously: 16)
The offense showed a few more signs of life than in Week 1, but the result was the same: a home loss. In a week where other SEC bottom-dwellers like Mississippi State and Vanderbilt scored huge wins, Kentucky's loss to Ole Miss keeps them firmly planted in the cellar.
