It finally happened. Alabama's reign of terror over the SEC took a massive hit, and the entire landscape of the conference has been turned upside down. Oklahoma's stunning 23-21 victory in Tuscaloosa has sent the Crimson Tide tumbling down our rankings, while the Sooners rocket into the top four.

Elsewhere, Georgia solidified its spot by handling Texas, and Texas A&M survived a major scare from South Carolina to remain the conference's lone undefeated team.

Here’s how the entire conference stacks up after a wild Week 12.

Updated SEC power rankings after week 12 shakeup

1. Texas A&M (10-0)

  • Last Week: 3
  • The Aggies are the new #1. They survived a 31-30 shootout with South Carolina, proving they can win even on an off day. They remain the SEC's only unbeaten team and control their own destiny.

2. Georgia (9-1)

  • Last Week: 2
  • Georgia looked dominant in their 35-10 win over Texas. Gunner Stockton threw 4 TDs, and the defense completely shut down Arch Manning. They look like a CFP lock.

3. Ole Miss (10-1)

Last Week: 4

The Rebels found themselves in a 24-20 halftime dogfight with Florida but pitched a second-half shutout to win 34-24. Kewan Lacy's 224-yard, 3-TD day proved they can win even when their QB struggles.

4. Oklahoma (8-2)

Last Week: 7

The Sooners get the biggest jump of the week. The 23-21 win at Alabama is the most impressive SEC victory of the season for anyone. They are back in the CFP hunt.

5. Alabama (8-2)

  • Last Week: 1
  • The Tide are in freefall. The loss to Oklahoma exposed their offense and knocked them completely out of the CFP driver's seat. Ty Simpson's 326 yards weren't enough.

6. Vanderbilt (8-2)

  • Last Week: 6
  • Vandy was idle this week, but their 8-2 record and solid conference play keep them locked in the top six.

7. Texas (7-3)

  • Last Week: 5
  • The 35-10 loss to Georgia was a brutal reality check. The Arch Manning-led offense just couldn't hang with the Bulldogs' elite defense. They drop two spots.

8. Missouri (7-3)

  • Last Week: 8
  • Ahmad Hardy's 300-yard, 3-TD rushing performance in a 49-27 blowout of Mississippi State was incredible. The Tigers are a very strong 7-3 team.

9. Tennessee (7-3)

  • Last Week: 9
  • They took care of business against New Mexico State, 42-9. It's a cupcake win, but they avoided a letdown and look solid.

10. LSU (6-4)

  • Last Week: 10
  • It was ugly, but they survived Arkansas 23-22. A 6-4 record is a disappointment in Baton Rouge, but they are at least bowl eligible.

11. Kentucky (5-5)

  • Last Week: 12
  • The Cats did exactly what they were supposed to do, crushing a good FCS team 42-10. With three straight wins, they have momentum and move up one spot.

12. Mississippi State (5-6)

Last Week: 11

Giving up 49 points and 300 rushing yards to one player is a fireable offense. The Bulldogs are in a tailspin and now must win their final game to make a bowl.

13. South Carolina (3-7)

  • Last Week: 14
  • They almost pulled off the upset of the year against Texas A&M. A 31-30 loss is still a loss, but they showed more fight than any team at the bottom of this list.

14. Auburn (4-6)

  • Last Week: 15
  • Idle. They're still 4-6 and need to win out to make a bowl.

15. Florida (3-7)

  • Last Week: 13
  • They led Ole Miss at halftime and then completely collapsed, getting shut out in the second half. This team is 3-7, has no coach, and is in absolute chaos.

16. Arkansas (2-8)

  • Last Week: 16
  • Losing 23-22 to a LSU team with no coach is just another painfully close loss in a forgetful season. They remain firmly in the cellar.

Kentucky making their way out of the bottom is a great sign, and they will have a chance to climb even high with Vandy up next.
