Which uniforms will Kentucky football be wearing at home against the Ohio Bobcats?
By Mark Knight
The Kentucky Wildcats play against the Ohio Bobcats today at 12:45 p.m. (EST) at Kroger Field and on the SEC Network. For all of you who love uniform combinations, one question you may have is, what combo are they wearing today? Here is your answer.
White helmets, blue jerseys, and white pants are a combination we haven't seen this year and are a favorite combination of many. Through three games this season, we have seen these combinations:
Southern Miss: Blue helmets, blue jerseys, white pants.
South Carolina: Blue helmets, blue jerseys, blue pants with white stripes.
Georgia: Blue helmets, gray jerseys, gray pants.
This will be the first time we have seen the white helmets all season. They have a very clean look and are a fan favorite. The last time we saw them was against Mississippi State last season, in a 24-3 win for the Wildcats. The combination was all white, as you can see below.
This was a combination of a white helmet, white jersey, and white pants. This week, it will be good to see the white helmets with the blue jerseys. Maybe you are curious what uniforms they rolled out last time they played Ohio Bobcats. That was ten years ago, but I dug back into the archives to find they had a combination of blue helmets, gray jerseys, and blue pants. To go back to before that matchup, it was ten years before that in 2004. Nick Roush of KSR posted that uniform combination on X the other day.
At the end of the day, the uniform combination doesn't matter as much as getting a win does. Let's hope that we have what we need to take down the Ohio Bobcats and not let them get another win against us like they did in 2004.
