What time is the Kentucky football game against Florida?

The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off their bye week and will be taking on Vanderbilt at home on October 12, more info on that game here. The week after, week 8 game times and networks had not been announced. That has all been cleared up and announced by the SEC today.

Where: The Swamp/Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida (Away)
When: October 19 at 7:45 pm EST
TV: SEC Network

This will be the second game in a row that Kentucky has been regulated to the late-night slot and the SEC Network. This timeslot and network are often left for decent matchups but not huge out-of-market TV viewers. This could be indicative of the fact that Kentucky continues to play teams toward the bottom of the league or even how the SEC currently sees the Wildcats.

After Vanderbilt's massive upset over #1 Alabama and on the back of Kentucky's upset of #6 Ole Miss the week before, this Week 7 game between Kentucky and Vanderbilt has much more billing than the 7:45 pm SEC Network regulation.

Florida has a chance to do the same thing with the SEC network offices by upsetting #8 Tennesse this week and giving Kentucky another chance to take on a team fresh off an upset in the SEC.

If Kentucky continues to win and showcase, they are one of the better teams in the SEC; even though they currently have two conference losses, the timeslots and networks will get better. There is still a pathway in front of them for a great bowl and potentially a college football playoff position. If the Wildcats can win out and chaos continues to happen, they will be in the conversation. One game at a time and the next is versus Vanderbilt and then Florida, both at 7:45 pm on the SEC Network in consecutive weeks. October 12 and October 19, respectively.
