Projecting Kentucky's starting lineup following start of summer workouts

Kentucky has an entirely new roster with expeirence and playmaking all over the floor, but it'll be intersting to see who starts ... and ends the game for the Cats.

Here's where things get a bit complicated. The easy answer is you slot Jaxson Robinson into the starting 2 spot. But, I think it's more valuable to have him off the bench and slide Butler in as a starter.

While Kentucky has a lot of talent on the roster, one thing they are missing is a scorer off the bench -- so I believe that's where Robinson fits best -- and because he's done it so frequently before.

For Butler, his ability to play both on and off the ball gives Kentucky a lot of flexibility in what they are running. He's also a tremendous defensive player who can set the tone early in games.

The mix of his defensive production, energy and leadership is why he needs to be on the floor to start games.

Kentucky is not likely going to have great chemistry early in the season but you can overcome that with great energy and defense. Butler brings that every possession and would pair really well with Amari Williams down low.
