Projected Kentucky basketball starting lineup after Mark Pope lands Andrew Carr

The Wildcats added a stretch four over the weekend to pair with Amari Williams in the front court. With Carr, Lamont Butler, and Otega Oweh all in the fold, Kentucky's roster and starting five is beginning to take shape.

. Collin Chandler. Collin Chandler. SG. player. 528. Freshman 6'4" 170 lbs. . Flipped from BYU. Collin Chandler

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chandler spent his last two years on a mission trip after signing with BYU in 2022 as a top-35 recruit in the country. Chandler will need time to get back into game shape, but at the moment should get the nod over Travis Perry for a spot in the starting lineup, being two years his senior.

Despite his advanced age for a freshman, Chandler still has four years of eligibility remaining. If he’s able to put on weight before the season and maintain his shooting stroke, then Chandler will be an integral part of Pope’s system.

Chandler committed to play for Pope twice, first at BYU out of high school, then this offseason making a flip from his prior commitment. Pope will likely reward that loyalty with a shot in the starting lineup, at least as the roster is currently constructed.
