The Kentucky Wildcats have had two frustrating losses early in this season. For two very different reasons, the loss to South Carolina felt embarrassing; the loss to Georgia felt like a "what could have been." This week, the Wildcats get an opportunity to get things right as they take on the Ohio Bobcats. On paper, it feels like a tune-up game and a "get right" game. There are some dangerous spots that we need to be aware of, such as some playmakers who want to put the Wildcats at 1-3 in the season instead of 2-2.

Mark Stoops even said this week that they have to take the Bobcats seriously. This Bobcat team is coming off a two-game win streak and is looking to pull off the upset at Kroger Field on Saturday.

The Bobcats are averaging 24 points a game, with an average of about 190 yards through the air and 202 on the ground. This is a balanced team that will look for ways to beat you. Who are the impact players that need to be watched this Saturday?

1. Coleman Owen - WR

This is QB Parker Navarro's favorite target, and it's not even close. In three games this season, Owen has 21 receptions for 282 yards, with the average reception being around 13 yards a catch. He is not simply getting chunk yardages or is Navarro's check-down; Owen is the explosive threat. He can get behind coverage, and he can create separation during his breaks. This is someone that Kentucky coaches will need to scheme around and have eyes on Owen.

In his last game, against the Morgan State Bears, Owen had an explosive 53-yard catch, breaking away from defenders and getting open to make an impressive downfield catch. As I mentioned, he is Navarro's favorite target, with 21 receptions; the next closest has 8.

2. Anthony Tyus III - RB

Anthony Tyus III is their primary tailback, and he has already accumulated 367 yards on the ground on only 49 carries. This accounts for a 7.5-average run, and he's been able to punch it into the end zone four total times. He's effective at hitting his holes and making defenders miss. He popped on a 13-yard scamper for a touchdown in the last game, which made the opposing team look silly.

Kentucky against Georgia did a good job of limiting the opposing RB, and they will need to have a similar game plan for Tyus. Even though this is a MAC team, he runs like an SEC back. I wouldn't be surprised to see him enter the portal in the offseason and find a new home.

3. Gianni Spetic - K

It's weird to mention a Kicker as one of the opposing players to watch, but this Kicker has yet to miss from any distance this season. He has converted all his tries and even all his extra points. He's 5/5 on field goals and 7/7 on extra points. This is impressive for any team in any program, mainly because he has two tries from 30-39 yards and one try from over 40.

Maybe you are wondering why I didn't mention the quarterback as a player to watch for Ohio. Parker Navarro, the Bobcat quarterback is a gun-slinger. He loves to try and make plays happen, and sometimes this is for good, other times it is for ill. He had three interceptions last week against Morgan State, which brings his total up to four on the season. He is a player, and I think Kentucky should try to exploit and disguise coverage and find ways to get him to throw it to the blue and white team.
