Kentucky lands transfer guard Lamont Butler, star of SDSU NCAA Tournament run in 2023

Kentucky has added to its roster as San Diego State guard Lamont Butler has committed to the Wildcats, according to multiple reports.
Butler averaged 9.3 points, 3.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game for the Aztecs this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Butler scored in double-digits 17 times this season while scoring a season-high 23 points against Wyoming.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound guard is a terrific defensive player, ranking second in the Mountain West in steals per game, steal percentage and third in defensive box plus/minus.
Butler made a name for himself two years ago during SDSU's FInal Four run before the Aztecs fell to UConn in the National Championship game.
He averaged 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 38.9 percent from three in the NCAA Tournament.
Butler hit the game-winning buzzer-beater against FAU in the Final Four.
Butler joins Drexel transfer big man Amari Williams as the two transfer commits thus far for Kentucky and Mark Pope.
Now, all attention turns to a massive recruiting weekend for the Wildcats, with numerous players taking visits this weekend.
