Kentucky head coach Mark Pope has zoom call with uncommitted McDonald's All-American prospect

By this time in the recruiting calendar, most high-profile prospects have already committed and signed to their school of choice. But, luckily for Kentucky, there is one McDonald's All-American who is still on the market.
Meet five-star wing Liam McNeeley of Montverde Academy (Fla.). McNeeley was originally committed to Indiana before re-opening his recruitment earlier this spring. Since then, he has been on the minds of nearly every head coach around the country.
On Wednesday night, Kentucky and head coach Mark Pope made it known they want him.
Accoding to KSR's Matt Jones, Pope had a zoom call with the talented wing.
McNeeley is a 6-foot-7 wing who turned into one of the most efficient all-around players in high school over the last two seasons -- especially over the last 6-8 months.
McNeeley averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season for an undefeated Montverde sqaud that won the National Championship. He is best known as a shooter and he lived up to that this year. McNeeley shot 44 percent from three (68-of-155) this year.
Last summer, playing for the Florida Rebels on the Nike EYBL Circuit this summer, McNeeley averaged 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He shot 37 percent from three (30-of-81).
Currently, McNeeley has just one visit set up -- Uconn on April 22-23.
McNeeley is getting courted by nearly every program in the country, including Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan, Arizona and more.
