Back in 2009 and 2010, there was no angst surrounding John Calipari's tenure at Kentucky or questions about whether he could win the national championship again. There was just excitement. It was his first season in Lexington and Cal brought the good with John Wall, Boogie Cousins, and Eric Bledsoe.

By the end of his freshman season, John Wall was one of the biggest stars in basketball and not just college basketball. Wall was excellent on the court and made Kentucky basketball cool simultaneously.

Wall led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight and was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft by the Washington Wizards.
