In 2011, a few years before Julius Randle and the Harrison twins lost to Shabazz Napier and UConn in the national championship game, freshman Brandon Knight lost to Kemba Walker and UConn in the Final Four.

Still, Knight was good enough to get Kentucky through the Elite Eight as a No. 4 seed. Knight dropped 30 points against West Virginia in the second round of the tournament and scored 22 to beat UNC in the Elite Eight. He played all 40 minutes and finished with 17 points against UConn.

Knight was taken No. 8 overall by the Detroit Pistons after his All-SEC season and memorable tournament run.
