Former Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham has welcome to Minnesota moment

Former Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham has had his full welcome to Minnesota moments over the last few days. It started with his introductory press conference with the Timberwolves media and then it shifted to a different sport.
Baseball.
On Thursday, Dillingham threw out the first pitch at the Minnesota Twins game.
Minnesota, who traded up in the NBA Draft to select Dillingham, are coming off of a Western Conference Finals appearance last season. For Dillingham, it's a clear fit within the Timberwolves system and one that could greatly benefit both sides.
"It's a blessing, for real. It shows that they trust me and they obviously are trusting in me to develop," Dillingham said on draft night. "If they trust in me, that's all I needed. I feel that's all I needed from any team. Them showing me is even more of a blessing. I get to play with way better players and learn from them. I'd say it's a blessing to even be here in this situation. I thank the Timberwolves, for sure."
Dillingham was the SEC's Sixth Man of the Year in 2023, thanks to averages of 15.2 points, 3.9 assists and a three-point rate of 44.4 percent.
His addition to the Timberwolves will be ideal from day one with his scoring and playmaking ability in the backcourt -- something they lacked outside of Anthony Edwards.
Dillingham will likely make his Timberwolves debut next week at the NBA Summer League, but until then, he'll continue to be a star in the Twin Cities.
