4. How quickly will this team be able to build its chemistry?

There's no hiding the fact that Mark Pope has his work cut out for him with a roster that has never played a second of basketball together.

Between three freshmen and nine transfers, Kentucky has a mix of veterans looking for one last go-around to make a name for themselves, younger guys who are just getting their careers started, and others who are looking for a fresh start. None of which are easy to keep everyone happy.

"We’re going to go super fast," Pope told his team as summer workouts got underway on Monday. "I’m going to throw a ton of terms at you guys. You guys know all the concepts. You just don’t know my words for them. We’re gonna go fast.

“I want you to take all of the information you can, and I want you to go 100%, full speed ahead, ok? If we make mistakes, we’ll correct them. That’s what we do out here. We go out on the practice court, and we make mistakes, ok? Ton of joy. Ton of juice."

Having a guy like Jaxson Robinson and his experience under Mark Pope helps. Also having numerous veteran guys who have been major contributors helps. But, that doesn't always translate, especially coming to a program like Kentucky with such high expectations every single year.

These next two months will really go a long way in determining a lot of the potential of this team.
