Vito "Babe" Parilli was a certified anomaly. He played QB at Kentucky from 1949-51, earning All-American honors in the latter two seasons. Like many football stars of his age, Parilli's career was interrupted due to military service, but he still turned in quite an impressive body of work. He threw for over 25,000 yards with the AFL's Boston Patriots and scored a long list of awards in his time.

He didn't make this list just for his QB prowess though, as he's long been dubbed one of the game's all-time great holders. You don't simply earn the nickname Gold-Finger without having magic in your hands, and his work alongside K Jim Turner won't soon be forgotten.

Tom Brady might be the undisputed best Patriots QB these days, but Parilli's name still rings bells in the hallowed halls of Foxborough.
