Mark Pope made waves around the college basketball world earlier this offseason when, amidst arguably his most contested and criticized period as Kentucky's head coach yet, he opened the floor to questions from fans. As is typical on social media, the Big Blue Nation responded in droves, and Pope answered in multiple rounds of videos online.
Now, with the roster essentially finalized and his team practicing together, Pope has turned the microphone around on Cats fans, and with a prize on the line this time around. Take a look at the tongue-in-cheek clip posted on Coach Pope's X account:
BBN, in May you asked me over 5,000 questions. My turn. Let’s have some fun! Best answer takes home 2 front-row tickets to Big Blue Madness! pic.twitter.com/8rKf9BgSvz

After running to the top of Rupp Arena (a practice that Pope says Rick Pitino made him repeat all too often back in his playing days), Pope posed a question to the Bluegrass: "What's your least favorite thing your coach ever made you do?"
Seems simple enough, right? Well, as you prepare your reply, make sure you're putting your best foot forward, because the best answer gets two front-row tickets to Big Blue Madness. Nobody gives back like the BBN, and that extends to the staff on the sidelines.
A One-of-One Opportunity
Pope is no stranger to helping out the best fans in college sports. From buying ice cream for a batch of remaining fans in Rupp Arena following one of his postgame shows to actually paying for gas for Cats fans traveling up to Wisconsin for his first ever March Madness, his love for Kentucky's ardent supporters goes far beyond words.
This, though, is a one-of-one opportunity. Springboarding off of his questionnaire from earlier this offseason, Pope is offering a fanbase more excited than ever the chance to win free tickets by simply sharing a memory.
It's a fun exercise for the BBN to come together for regardless, and whoever ultimately takes home the tickets will never forget the experience. Not only due to the nature of the sweepstakes, but also because we're looking at Pope's most anticipated Kentucky roster yet.
Pope's Most Anticipated Roster Yet
His entire recruiting approach has seemingly been predicated on patching holes from this past season. Shooting? Check - see Milan Momcilovic. A bonafide point guard? Double check - see Zoom Diallo and Mason Williams.
The stakes are at an all-time high too, to be fair; following a 14-loss season, the very same fans that Pope is catering to are strictly expecting him to take a leap this year.
But the vibes at Big Blue Madness are always through the roof, regardless of the energy around the team or regime at the time. And now, a pair of lucky fans will get to take part in that event on the frontlines.
What are you waiting for? Hope over to Pope's social media and share your own memory!
