The Kentucky Wildcats hosted the Lipscomb Bison on Tuesday night and defeated them 97-68. In a game that was never close, the Wildcats charged ahead with nearly another 100-point game (they have two already on the season). After the game, Lipscomb's head coach, Lennie Acuff, had tons of praise for Kentucky and their basketball play.

Acuff said, "Tremendously, tremendously impressed. That's the best offensive Power Four team we've played in my six years at Lipscomb." This isn't some light praise coming from Acuff. He has been around the basketball world for a long time. He's been a head coach for 1,225 games. He has coached 157 games in his six years at Lipscomb.

He calls Kentucky the best power four offense he has seen in all that time. Lipscomb has seen some high-power teams over the last six years, including Arkansas (this year), Wichita State, UCF, Louisville, Notre Dame, LSU, Cincinnati, Xavier, and Auburn. This means it's not like he has only seen one good team; some were even highly ranked when Lipscomb played them.

In his pre-game comments, Acuff said about Kentucky, "They play unselfishly. If you aren't playing them, it's very pleasing to the eye. They play the game we like to watch and the way we like to play it." Acuff called the Wildcats the ideal in many ways of the game he wants to see and play and get his own team to be like.

After the game, he continued to profess his love for how Kentucky plays, "Boy, oh boy! If you leave your man for a second, they hurt you. They hit 12 threes tonight, and we fouled 'em on three more. They are a tough team to defend. It's real pleasing to the eye if you don't have to guard 'em."
