As the CFP rages on, Kentucky and LSU were involved in an instant classic on the hardcourt. No. 11 Kentucky went on the road to Baton Rouge, a place they had not won since 2019. LSU opened up on a 17-5 run, and Kentucky would answer with a 17-5 run of their own. It was back and forth all night long. Clara Strack would hit a turnaround jumper to put the Cats up 2 with under a minute to go.
Near disaster struck Strack
With 18 seconds to go, Mikaylah Williams pulled up from deep and Strack hit the arm of the LSU Tiger. She would calmly nail all 3 free throws for her 26th point of the night. Strack had gone from hero to villain. Lane Kiffin would send out a tweet at the worst possible time if you are an LSU fan.

Kenny Brooks calls a timeout and draws up a play for Clara Strack. LSU defends it well, and Tonie Morgan has no choice but to pull it from deep:

She would nail it, and put the Cats up 2 with .5 to go. She was just 8-24 from deep coming into the game, and she made all 3 of her 3-point attempts tonight. Just a clutch performance from a clutch player.
Lane Kiffin continues to put his foot in his mouth as Kentucky women's basketball stuns LSU
It is another snafu from LSU's newly hired head coach who made an entrance with LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey tonight. He recently claimed he was driven off the road on the way out of Ole Miss, that was false. And then there is the whole weird thing with the dog he adopted but apparently left behind when he took the LSU job.
Lane makes it easy to take shots at him, and this was just another. Maybe he should just stick to hot yoga.
