Missouri took the lead early and fought all game long to try and pull an upset in Historic Memorial Coliseum, but it was a Kentucky kill shot to start the 4th that ended things once and for all.

The Tigers would score first, and the game would go back and forth for much of the first period. The Tigers would use small scoring bursts to pull ahead before Kentucky would reel them back in with consistent pressure. Missouri had an 11-8 lead before Kentucky scored four straight. Then over the back half of the first quarter, the Cats would double up the Tigers to take a 24-17 lead into the 2nd.

During that 2nd quarter, the Cats would extend their lead into double-digits for the first time, but the Tigers would just not go away, getting back to within 8. Clara Strack would score her 12th point of the game to send the Cats to the half with a 38-28 lead.

Missouri would finish the half 10 of 31, while the Cats were 16 of 35 to help them pace the game. The 3rd quarter brought more of the first two. Both teams were cold, as neither team could get to 40 percent in the period, but it was Kentucky still maintaining their lead, even though Missouri had cut it 7 with back-to-back 3's. The Cats would keep the distance at 54-40 heading to the 4th. Then they blew it open.

The Cats would open the 4th with a renewed sense of energy, and it showed. They would hit 4 3's before Missouri would score capping off a 13-0 run that ended things in HMC. Clara Strack would finish with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Tonie Morgan finally had a turnover, 3 of them, but finished with 14 assists and 18 points in another double-double performance for the point guard. That puts her run in the last 3 games up to 36 assists and 5 turnovers, a 7-1 assist to turnover ratio is pretty good right?

Kenny Brooks and company will be back in action Thursday in Tuscaloosa to take on the 14-1 Crimson Tide, who play Arkansas later today.
