The Kentucky Volleyball team continues its win streak into and through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. In consecutive days, they beat Cleveland State 3-0 and Minnesota 3-1, successfully going through rounds one and two of the NCAA tournament. They have now won 13 matches in a row and, in that run, haven't even let a team get two sets on them. They are on an amazing run and look to continue into the Sweet 16.
The Sweet 16 and Elite 8 will be held at regional sites from Thursday, Dec. 12, through Sunday, Dec. 15.
How can I watch the Sweet 16 match?
Who: Missouri Tigers
When: 1:00 pm EST on December 12th
Where: Petersen Events Center, Pittsburgh, PA
TV: ESPN2
ESPN switched the coverage for the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8 to an actual TV channel instead of just streaming. It will be on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. on December 12. The teams will play on the home court of the Pitt Panthers, who get to host these next two games due to being the highest seed left in Kentucky's regional bracket.
#1 Pitt is facing off against #4 Oregon, while #3 Kentucky is playing #7 Missouri. The winner of each match will face off against the other in the same location. Kentucky and Missouri will match up first, and Pitt and Oregon will play 30 minutes after the conclusion. This will give Pitt and Oregon one more advantage of scouting.
Missouri and Kentucky have met twice this year, and Kentucky won both. This will still be a tough test, as it's hard to beat a team three times in any sport, especially when Missouri will be fighting for their lives. Kentucky will need to come ready and fired up.
