As the basketball early signing period approaches (November 13), a lot is happening in the Kentucky recruiting world. Let's look around at some of the final pieces Mark Pope is trying to put together for the 2025 class.
Samis Calderon
Caledron is very new to the Kentucky basketball radar. He's been picking up a lot of recruiting steam among many of the top basketball programs, and Mark Pope and Kentucky have become very interested. Pope and his basketball staff began to notice him when they were checking in on Jasper Johnson, his teammate.
Reports of a visit to Kentucky began to surface this week and that he would be in Lexington from Nov. 8-10. Even that he would pick up the official offer during that visit. However, new reports came out that he canceled his visit and would instead just focus on Auburn, Kansas, Michigan, and Tennessee. In this case, it didn't pay to be the last team in.
NEW: Samis Calderon has canceled his upcoming visit to Kentucky.

Caleb Wilson
Many expect Wilson to be the next player that Kentucky can land in the 2025 recruiting class. However, there's been some extra buzz about Arkansas lately. One advantage that the Wildcats have is Acaden Wilson, who has said he is actively recruiting Wilson, saying they've been thinking about playing together for a while. "That's something he's been talking about since we first met. The very first thing he actually said to me was, ‘I’m a fan of your game; I watched all your games this year.’" Lewis said.

Chris Cenac
One of the top players in the country, Cenac, visited the Wildcats back in September and continues to go to other universities of interest. The latest is that he is scheduled to visit LSU this weekend. This is a program to watch for Cenac as the Tigers are trying to keep Cenac home.
