When you talk about the Transfer Portal, you know you are going to lose some games that you wish you didn't. The hope is that you get some guys that you didn't know you could, and it offsets more in your favor. That is the hope Kentucky is working under right now. News broke that freshman wide receiver Cam Miller will be leaving Kentucky, entering the Transfer Portal after just one season. But Kentucky also added former UAB receiver Xavier Daisy.
Not a like for like replacement at all, but an addition to the room that was much needed.
Xavier Daisy's greatest weapon is something you can't teach
For fans of WWE, Xavier Daisy is 6 feet 4 and "you can't teach that." If you are not a WWE fan, just pretend that sentence wasn't there. Daisy is a guy who, when you look at the stats, you may think is not going to be a huge factor as he steps up in competition from UAB to Kentucky. Then you look at the measurables and the fact that he didn't drop a single pass, and you understand completely why he is coming here.
When you are in the red zone staring at a 3rd and goal from the 4 when everything is crunched together, you need guys who can go up and high-point the ball. That becomes immensely easier when you are 6'4. And then you add in that in 18 attempts, he didn't drop a single ball, that is someone you can trust in short yardage fades all day long.
Losing Cam Miller hurts
NEW: Kentucky WR Cameron Miller has entered the NCAA transfer portal, @PeteNakos reports.

There is no sugar coating it, Cam Miller came on late last year as he was given more playing time. He finished with 13 catches for 141 yards. The numbers won't jump out at you, but you have to remember what kind of offense he was playing under. Wisconsin, Duke, and Georgia were all in the mix before and probably will be again.
And there you have it, the Transfer Portal gives, and the Transfer Portal takes away. Stay updated by keeping a look at our portal tracker here.
