Week 9: Kentucky Wildcats versus Auburn Tigers. It's that point in the season when lots of teams are dealing with and managing a good caseload of injuries. Kentucky is no exception, as they have one of their longest Wednesday injury reports of the season. 16 players are listed on this week's injury report, and this puts one position group in a very banged-up position: the running back room.

Chip Trayanum is once again looking like he will miss another game. He is currently listed as doubtful and all indications are that he won't be able to go versus Auburn. The injury report also has Demie Sumo-Karngbaye listed as questionable. The hope is he will be able to go, and it will be a fairly normal week for the running game, but there are some doubts he will make it. UPDATE THURSDAY: Sumo-Karngbaye is now OUT.

If Sumo-Karngbaye and Trayanum are both unable to go, this leaves Jamarion Wilcox as the primary runner. I guess it's a good thing he hasn't been able to get more minutes this year, and he refuses to tie his shoes because he's healthy and ready to go. This would put Jason Patterson as the backup, and that's a lot of youth in the backfield.

The rest of the injury report is full of some of the usual suspects. Once again, we see Maxwell Hairston already declared out, along with a handful of other players, including big offensive lineman Gerald Mincey. Here's the full report:

On the Auburn side of the ball, they are coming into the contest relatively healthy. They only have five players listed on the report, and none of them are expected to play. Jamonta Walker OLB, Tyler Scott DB, Champ Anthony DB, and Brandon Frazier TE are all listed as out. There is one doubtful mention, and that's wide receiver Caleb Burton III.

The game kicks off on October 26th at 7:45 pm EST on SEC Network. Both teams are looking to get their season back on track. Auburn has zero SEC wins, while Kentucky has only one.
