Will Stein’s early Kentucky staff moves show what kind of program he wants to run
You’ve also got Mike Hartline and Justin Burke in the picture in roles still to be formally announced. Both are sharp offensive minds with Kentucky ties who can help bridge eras and give Stein insulation as he implements new concepts.
Will the final staff match the sales pitch perfectly? We’ll see. But the early blueprint is encouraging: real Power Four experience on offense, SEC familiarity in the trenches, and an open door for big-name defensive hires.
If Stein truly nails DC, OL coach, and the recruiting-heavy positions, this could be the kind of staff that not only helps him survive in the SEC, but actually carves out a new identity for Kentucky football.
The names are starting to fill in. Now comes the hard part, proving on Saturdays that the staff really is as elite as he promised.
Stay tuned as we update Will Stein's first year staff in his first year as a head coach with Kentucky football.
