Will Stein and his staff have been absolutely working the recruiting trail like madmen. They are leaving no stone unturned in trying to build Kentucky into a contender. He started by landing one of the biggest signings in the month of January, according to Rivals, 4-star CB Andre Clarke. But he isn't stopping there.

Kentucky football recruiting heats up in 2027 and beyond

At his introductory press conference, Stein said that he wanted high school recruiting to be the lifeblood of the program, and he is proving it. Industry insider Pete Nakos recently said that Will Stein is "killing it" on the recruiting trail as he wraps up his first major month of recruiting. Let's take a look at some of the big waves Kentucky football is making.

Jamison Roberts, 3-star QB out of Alabama. Kentucky became the 5th SEC program to offer the rising Roberts, who also named his top 8. Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Oklahoma are involved in what will be a recruiting battle.

Reed Gerken, 3-star OL out of Perryberg, Ohio. Gerken recently announced a top 10 involving Kentucky, Louisville, and Tennessee. This will be a recruitment to watch as it heats up.

Jordan Haskins, 4-star safety out of Lexington, released his top 6. Will Stein has done a fabulous job of getting Kentucky back into this one. Illinois, Indiana, and, of course, Louisville will be fighting hard here.

Mekai Brown, 4-star top 60 EDGE, will step foot on campus for an official visit in April. Brown has a full visit schedule that runs from Florida next month to UCLA on April 29th.

Matthew Gregory, 5-star WR out of Pennsylvania, is another player Stein is trying to poach from the giants of the sport. He currently has a total of 24 offers, and Penn State will do all it can to keep him home.

Myles Baker, 4-star safety. Baker recently picked up an offer from the Cats. He is a top 300 talent who has a total of 27 offers, including Alabama and Georgia.

Hayden Stepp, 4-star CB. Stepp picked up a recent offer from Kentucky, who have a lot of ground to make up in a hurry.

These offers are in addition to the offer spree Stein went on when he was hired. The head coach is serious about stacking every spot with 4-star talent. Doing that at Kentucky has never been done at a level that Stein is attempting to reach. If he can do it, he will undoubtedly see success on the field.

The offers are now out there, the question remains how many, if any, can Kentucky get.
