What To Watch For

Maxwell Hairston & Eli Cox

Coming off fantastic showings at the NFL Combine, Hairston and Cox don’t have much to prove on the field. While they may participate in some drills, their primary focus will be on nailing the interviews and meetings with scouts and executives. Both are widely projected to be early-round selections, with their combine performances doing most of the heavy lifting.

Deone Walker

Walker’s talent is undeniable, but his combine performance left something to be desired. His game tape also hasn't been the strongest representation of his abilities. For Walker, Pro Day will be a critical opportunity to rebuild his stock and prove to scouts that he’s the high-upside talent many believed him to be. The big man has a lot on the line, and all eyes will be on his performance.

Jamon Dumas-Johnson

Dumas-Johnson has been trending upward, and Pro Day provides another chance to solidify his stock. With the potential to sneak into a Day 2 draft slot, the linebacker needs to show the same explosiveness and instincts that have caught scouts’ attention throughout the pre-draft process.

The Rest of the Pack

For the remaining Wildcats, this Pro Day represents a pivotal moment. Players like Gerald Mincey, Octavious Oxendine, D’Eryk Jackson, and Tre’vonn Rybka will aim to showcase their skills and make a case for either being drafted or signed as undrafted free agents.

Safety Zion Childress and kicker Alex Raynor will also participate, hoping to turn heads with their performances. Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, an intriguing running back prospect, aims to flash his versatility and explosiveness to snag a team or two.

Kentucky’s Pro Day is a key moment in the pre-draft process. For some, it’s about solidifying their status; for others, it’s about fighting for an opportunity. Once Pro Day is in the books, all eyes will turn to the final evaluations, private workouts, and most importantly, the NFL Draft itself.

Stay tuned for more updates as we follow these Wildcats on their journey to the pros.
