The transfer portal officially closes at midnight, but the Cats are making waves all over campus right now.

It was announced yesterday that major changes are coming to Kroger Field, while on the recruiting trail, key targets are visiting Lexington just hours before the deadline. Plus, insider Pete Nakos just dropped a massive prediction for the offense.

Champions Blue LLC announces Kroger Field expansion

At a Club Blue Board of Governors meeting on Thursday morning, seven targeted upgrades for Kroger Field were announced. Work is scheduled to begin over the next few years and is projected to generate $4 million in annual revenue.

Here is what is coming to Kroger Field over the next few years:

  • North and South Upper Deck Seatbacks: Designed to enhance comfort and significantly expand chairback availability.
  • Loge Club and Club Seat Infill: Created to meet the rising demand for elevated hospitality options.
  • New Terrace-Style “Back-of-Bowl” Seating: A new concept to create flexible, social viewing areas.
  • Scoreboard Patio Clubs: Adding standing-room-only premium space and new sponsorship inventory.
  • West End Zone Field Club: A modern, membership-driven experience with year-round potential.

Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart emphasized the long-term vision behind the move:

"We must continue to build sustainable resources that support our student-athletes, coaches, and fans for years to come. The vision and enhancements outlined today reflect responsible planning and a clear commitment to excellence.”

Kentucky's portal targets are on campus

While the administration focuses on bricks and mortar, Will Stein is focused on speed.

Some last-minute visits are taking place, including Southern Utah wide receiver Shane Carr. Expect more news to trickle out of Lexington throughout the day. After landing Georgetown College defensive lineman Ben Reeves to bolster the trenches, the focus has shifted to the perimeter.

On3’s Pete Nakos has officially logged a prediction for Kentucky to land former LSU and Oklahoma wide receiver Nic Anderson.

Will Stein has finished building his staff and is rounding out his portal class, but he remains a coach hungry for the next success. Stay tuned, the news is going to break fast today.
