Coming off the heels of portal season, you would think there would be a little downtime for the staff, but in college football recruiting, you never get to take a break. The Cats hosted numerous big-time recruits and made quite the impression.
Class of 2026 4-star DL Dylan Berymon, who is the highest-ranked uncommitted player on the board, was on campus and seems to be down to Nebraska or Kentucky. The Cats got him on campus, and he shared some photos of the visit below:

The big man is a top 200 player and a top 25 defensive line prospect. Nebraska isn't going away, but these two teams seem to be destined to fight it out. First, you had Wan'Dale Robinson picking Nebraska over Kentucky, before transferring back to Kentucky. Then you had Dane Key leave Lexington for his senior year at Lincoln, and Kentucky took Nebraska's big running back Dante Dowdell. And then the biggest one, Kenny Minchey, flipped from the Huskers to join Will Stein in Lexington.
Elite talent was on hand for a big Kentucky football recruiting weekend in Lexington
Rivals' No. 4 LB Jalaythan Mayfield was on campus as well. Mayfield, who is visiting NC State and Indiana in the next few weeks, also just picked up an offer from Texas. The in-state star was one of a few Kentucky prospects looking to get more involved with the Wildcats.
OL Brady Hull, a 3-star prospect, picked up a projection from Steve Wiltfong to land at Kentucky, right after the Junior Day was over. Woodford County offensive lineman Justyn Perez and Louisville (Ky.) Trinity safety Elijah Burns-Crump were also on campus in Lexington.
OL Reed Gerken and TE Seneca Driver were present as well, but the names go far beyond just that group. The Cats apparently made quite an impression and look to be making waves in the Class of 2027 and beyond.
