The quarterback is the big name, the wide receivers are the divas, but it is the offensive line that wins you games. You need guys who know how to communicate, how to block, when to pass assignments off, and most importantly read defenses. Kentucky and Will Stein understand that, that's why they went out and got former Baylor C Coleton Price to come lead the offensive line rebuild in Lexington.

Coleton Price brings elite physicality and knowledge to Kentucky football

Price becomes Kentucky's first offensive commitment under Will Stein in the portal era, which should tell you all you need to know. It wasn't a QB, a WR, a RB, or even a TE; it was a center. Why? That is easy. When you have a high-level center who can read the defense and call out protections, it makes things a lot easier for the rest of the offense. Remember when pass rushers would just run right by unblocked in 2024? That is the center's job to mitigate. A bad center gets your QB pummeled; a good one elevates the entire offense. Coleton Price is elite. Look at how excited legendary offensive lineman Jeff Saturday was:

Guys that can move a man 12 yards back and dump him on his backside are why you win football games. Coleton Price does just that nearly every time he steps on the field. There is a reason Saturday Blitz has him as the number 6 offensive lineman in the portal, not just the best center, the 6th best lineman.

But it is not just the physical side which is immense, 6'3 and 318 pounds, it is the mental side where he really commands respect. He was the second highest graded center in the entire Big12 last season. On 526 pass attempts, he allowed 1 sack. The man knows how to block people.

Now he gets to do that in Lexington.
