Depending on the age of the person you ask who the greatest running back of all-time at the University of Kentucky is? You'll get one of 3 different answers. Sonny Collins, Benny Snell Jr, or Moe Williams. Moe's 1995 season may be the best single season a running back has ever had in Lexington. 1600 yards,17 TDs, all the while playing for a team that would go 4-7. Everyone knew was Moe was getting the ball, no one could stop it.

That is why when his son Amaree became a 4-star EDGE, people thought Kentucky would go hard after him. They offered, but they really didn't make a charge at him. He landed at Florida State, but after only one year he has entered the Transfer Portal, and Kentucky needs to land him.

Amaree Williams is a pass rushing specialist that Kentucky needs to sign

Not only is he a legacy, but he is a darn good football player. At 6'4 and 215 pounds he is an ideal size to get after opposing QBs. He also played WR /TEin high school, and has experience at linebacker as well.

In his freshman year at Florida State, he lined up as a TE, catching 5 passes for 71 yards and 2 TDs in 8 games. While limited in volume, you can see the numbers pop. That is 14 yards per catch, which is really good for a freshman in the ACC.

In 2025, his two-way play continued. He played at both tight end and defensive end, adding around 10 pounds of muscle before his sophomore campaign. He finished the season with 2 catches for 51 yards and 1 TD. He also had 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

In getting a sack and a touchdown against East Texas A&M, he became the only FBS player in the regular season to catch a TD and also record at least .5 a sack. He is also the only player to ever do that in Florida State's history.

Whether he is better suited for offense or defense, that will be the question that defines his next stop. He has all the talent, the size, and the skill to play both. If he wants to make it to the next level, which he does, he will need a coaching staff that cements his status and hones the skills for that position.
