A bizarre tale of two eras in BBN fandom
Kentucky basketball has the most unique fanbase in America, and sometimes that passion takes some strange turns. Case in point: cars.
The lick: A peak 2015 BBN hysteria
Back in 2015, freshman guard Devin Booker became a fan favorite as part of Kentucky’s famous platoon system. But for some reason, fans decided his car deserved just as much attention as his jumper. That led to the now-legendary incident where girls were caught licking Booker’s car. Yes — actually licking it.

The signature: A modern Eastern Kentucky welcome
Fast forward to 20245, and Kentucky sophomore Trent Noah brought his own automotive twist. Noah, a 4-star wing from Harlan, held a meet-and-greet at Double Kwik last week in Pikeville. Fans lined up for autographs on hats, jerseys, basketballs… and one supporter asked him to sign their car. He obliged, Sharpie in hand.
So which is more bizarre? Booker’s situation feels like peak BBN hysteria, while Noah’s moment is more lighthearted. Either way, it proves there’s no such thing as “normal” when it comes to BBN devotion. The passion is unmatched.
