The Kentucky baseball team has been out of the spotlight since their run into the College World Series. It was a wonderful surprise that they were as good as they were last year. This year, they have higher expectations and are looking to continue to take big steps forward and be a powerhouse of a baseball program. This week, they jumped back in the spotlight for a hilarious video posted on TikTok.

The video was posted by star senior Patrick Herrera on his personal TikTok account and it's him and a few other baseball players dancing to an Ariana Grande song in the Kentucky baseball locker room. It went viral with 334k views (as of this article's posting), 58k likes, 249 comments, and 1630 bookmarks, and it shared 2922 shares. This is a big uptick in what Herrera usually sees on his channel.

It's a fun video, and you can tell the baseball players enjoyed making it. If you haven't seen it, watch it below:

While dancing on TikTok with your teammates is a fun trend that we've seen even the basketball team participate in, it's good to see the players having fun and enjoying the start of their pre-season workouts.

Kentucky baseball resumes on February 14 in the first series of the year against Lipscomb. There is much anticipation for this coming year not just because of last season's raising of the bar but also because of their two fall exhibition games. They played twice in October: the first game against Wright State, which they won 25-8, and the second game against Morehead State, which they won 30-4.

The next thing on the schedule for the Kentucky Wildcats baseball team is a prospect camp on December 8th. According to the Kentucky Athletics website, "Designed for advanced evaluation and instruction by the Wildcat coaching staff for players who aspire to compete at the NCAA Division I level. We offer the high school player an opportunity to showcase his skills in a pro-style workout and receive expert instruction from the University of Kentucky Baseball coaching staff."
