Crushing Jaland Lowe injury update is the nightmare scenario for Kentucky

All last season, Kentucky dealt with issues with injuries. Lamont Butler played with a shoulder brace for the majority of the season, and he was never the same player, though he played his heart out. So, when Jaland Lowe went down in the Blue-White game holding his shoulder, fans obviously had flashbacks.

Then, all of a sudden, it was good news. Just a couple of weeks and he would be fine.

Then he got out on the court, and he was wearing a very similar brace to Lamont Butler. But he looked fine, he played pretty good... but his shot was not good at all. In 2 games, he was shooting just 26% from the field and 28% from deep, though he was averaging 5 assists.

I say was because he has now injured himself yet again. In practice, the same shoulder is now injured again. News is floating around that it was another subloxation, which is a more mild injury than a full blown separation. But he is hurt again.

A repeat of last year's BBN nightmare?

And that is not a good thing, because the more a shoulder slides out, the worse it can get.

This is the nightmare scenario for the Cats. Maybe Kentucky should have allowed Lowe to rest a little more before coming back so soon, because it could be a lot longer this time. Yes, the game against Louisville and Michigan State are back games, but if you hold him out to the 1st week of December, it may have fully healed and prevented this new injury.
