The Governor's Cup between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Louisville Cardinals will be played for the 36th time in history, though only the 30th time since the rivalry was revived in 1994 and officially dubbed the "Governor's Cup." Kentucky holds the all-time record at 20-15 and has won five straight going into this one. Kentucky is having a down year, and Louisville has been in and out of the rankings all year. This should be a game worth watching. So, how do you?

Louisville is the favorite in this game at about -3.5 as of the writing of this article. According to ESPN's FPI projection machine, they are predicted to win the game by 70.1%. This would be the first time in six tries that the Cardinals have won it.
The last time they played in 2023, Kentucky beat Louisville 38-31 in a shootout. Runningback Ray Davis scored three touchdowns, one on the ground and two in the air. He was the difference maker and ended his year in impressive fashion, helping the Buffalo Bills feel confident in using their NFL draft pick on him.
Kentucky is 4-7 on the year with only one win in the SEC, while Louisville is 7-4 with a 5-3 record in the ACC. The Cardinals are not currently ranked, but they have been in and out of the rankings all year. They are currently receiving 24 votes in the AP Poll and 8 in the Coach's Poll.
