Get ready, Big Blue Nation — the summer tradition is back, and it’s bringing the next generation of Wildcats with it.

Kentucky men’s basketball head coach Mark Pope has officially announced the return of the program’s Father/Son and Father/Daughter Camps for the 2025 summer season, giving families across the Commonwealth a chance to bond on the hardwood while creating lifelong memories in the heart of Lexington.

Presented by White, Greer & Maggard Orthodontics, these camps are more than just layup lines and drills — they’re a celebration of family, tradition, and Kentucky basketball.

Camp details: When & where

Both camps will take place on the University of Kentucky campus, using iconic facilities like the Joe Craft Center and Historic Memorial Coliseum.

Father/Son Camp

📅 Date: Saturday, June 7
🕘 Time: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Check-in from 7:30-9 a.m.)
👥 Open To: Boys ages 7–17 and their fathers
💵 Cost: $265 per duo ($125 per additional son)

Father/Daughter Camp

📅 Date: Sunday, June 8
🕘 Time: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Check-in from 7:30-9 a.m.)
👥 Open To: Girls ages 7–17 and their fathers
💵 Cost: $265 per duo ($125 per additional daughter)

Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration is strongly encouraged to secure your place.

More than basketball — it’s a Kentucky experience

Led by Mark Pope and the Kentucky coaching staff, the camps promise a mix of skill development, friendly competition, and quality time between fathers and their kids. From scrimmages on the same courts where Kentucky legends have played to Q&As and behind-the-scenes access, these camps are built to feel special — because they are.

Campers will also have access to certified athletic trainers, and UK staff will be available throughout the day to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email with required documents (like physical and insurance info) and a packing list to prepare for the day.
