Wan’Dale Robinson’s Circus Catch Sets Giants Camp on Fire
Wan’Dale Robinson just made the play of the summer—and it might be the best catch you’ll see all year.
During a New York Giants training camp session, Robinson pulled off a highlight-reel snag that left fans and teammates stunned. An underthrown ball was tipped by a defender as both players went airborne. As Wan'Dale hit the turf, the ball floated above him. Laying down, almost totally flat on the ground, he tracked the ball, snatched it as it was coming down towards him, then popped up and took it to the house.

Giants beat writer Art Stapleton captured it perfectly: “Wan’Dale … what!?!”
This wasn’t just a camp flash. It was a signal that Robinson—now in his third season—is finally healthy and ready to fulfill the promise he showed at Kentucky.
After transferring from Nebraska, Robinson exploded in Lexington with 104 catches for 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns in 2021 under Liam Coen and catching balls from Will Levis. His lone year in blue vaulted him to the 43rd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Giants definitely liked what they saw in the multi-talented Robinson.
Injuries hampered his early NFL career, but 2024 was a turning point. Robinson played all 17 games and posted 699 receiving yards with three touchdowns. He also chipped in over 100 rushing yards and continued to showcase the versatility that made him a second-round pick. Look for that to grow further now that Russell Wilson is most likely to start. Other contenders for the starting job are Jameis Winston, Jaxson Dart and Tommy DeVIto.
Now healthy, confident, and squarely in the Giants’ plans, Robinson is making headlines for all the right reasons regardless of who is under center. If this camp catch is any indication, the best is yet to come for the budding former Kentucky WR.
