The Texas Longhorns and the Kentucky Wildcats are on very different trajectories this season. Texas has one SEC loss, while Kentucky only has one SEC win. Texas was bowl-eligible weeks ago, and Kentucky has impossible odds of becoming bowl-eligible. Texas is in the College Football Playoff conversation. Kentucky is only mentioned when people bring up Ole Miss' loss to the Wildcats.

The odds are not looking good for Kentucky to pull off this win. ESPN FPI gives them only a 5.3% chance to win, which, quick math, means Texas has a 94.7% chance to win. Not good, but if you want to cue up your Dumb and Dumber quote, "So you're saying there's a chance?" Yes, there's a very slim chance.

Kentucky needs to win to be able to even have a shot at any postseason play. Texas needs the win to stay in the top-seed conversation and even the SEC championship picture. Kentucky does have a great opportunity to play spoiler and has been known to show up when their backs are against the wall. But the odds are not good; the chances are very small that the Wildcats will pull off this game.

Speaking of odds, Texas is favored to win by more than 20 points. The FanDuel odds, as of this writing, are 20.5. The over-under on the game is 46.5 total points. This means they expect Kentucky to get almost shut out. If Texas is to win by 20 but the total combined points are 46, this means they expect the score to be somewhere around 33-13. Not good for the Wildcats.

The game will be one of the nationally broadcast games on ABC at 3:30 pm EST. They will be facing off at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. Kentucky has only ever played there once before, in 1951, and lost 7-6.
