The 2024 athletic year for Kentucky has been an emotional odyssey, marked by highs, lows, and everything in between:

Highs:

The basketball team's comeback wins over Duke and Gonzaga in amazing fashion.
Mark Stoops lays it all on the line and lets it go on 4th down and 7. Barion Brown made a great catch and Ole Miss missed a field goal late. All of that continbuted to one of the best wins under Mark Stoops as they Cats knocked off Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss in Oxford.
The Rugby team winning the national title, a back-to-back run that showcased real dominance.
Kentucky baseball winning the SEC regular season championship and getting to Omaha. Not only did they get there, but they won a game as well.
Mark Pope's press conference in Rupp Arena was amazing. It felt special as big blue naion came together to welcome the former captain home.
Mitch Barnhart committing to better NIL.
Women's volleyball getting to the elite 8
Kenny Brooks and Mark Pope both beating Louisville is probably the best thing in the highs. It felt nice to win the two basketball games for once.

Lows:

The season wasn't without its challenges though.
Kentucky football losing 8 games.
Mark Stoops nobody panic quote.
Offensive no shows for Kentucky basketball against Clemson and Ohio State
Kentucky baseball pitching tailing off to end the season, ultimately costing them victories in the post season.
Swimming scandal that rocked the athletic department.
Liam Coen leaving
Bush Hamdan's offense was maybe the lowest of lows on the field for any Kentucky team. The team struggled to do mostly anything on offense.
Blowout losses to South Carolina and Louisville at home for Mark Stoops.

Major Turning Points:

Mark Stoops punting against Georgia
John Calipari forgetting to have his guys ready for Oakland
Hurley deciding to stay at UCONN
Pope coming home

As we near the end of the year, this was just a quick little recap of what was a huge year for the Cats in all sports.
