It is bad enough that you cross from Kentucky to Louisville like DJ Waller just did, but then you add on top of that a photo with Vince Marrow throwing L's up. That is about as close to a betrayal as you can get, but wait there's more.
Back locked in with my dawg L’s up let’s do it time will tell soon💯 @LouisvilleFB @vincemarrow pic.twitter.com/pImICxBgaK

Kentucky football's replacement options for DJ Waller Jr.
Look, DJ Waller Jr. is a talented player, but he was rarely on the field for Kentucky, and when he was, it was not like he was some lockdown corner. And that is no disrespect to him, but that is just reality. At Kentucky, he played in 9 games over 2 years and finished with 13 total tackles.
He is a physical specimen at 6'3 and just over 200 pounds, a prototype Mark Stoops corner. But he just doesn't fit what Jay Bateman is going to do, blitz. He is a much better read and react zone coverage guy than a straight man-to-man coverage guy.
So far, Kentucky has offered Quentin Taylor Jr. out of Iowa State and Hasaan Sykes out of Western Carolina. Both are quicker and more agile defenders, and better fit the new reality Kentucky football will be playing.
That still doesn't ease seeing a former Kentucky coach with Kentucky's former best recruiter wearing Cardinal red and throwing L's up. There is just something very wrong with that picture, but Will Stein will need to have the last laugh on the field next year in his first taste of the Governor's cup, which will be back at Kroger Field in 2026.
