De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk trash their rivals in viral Sacramento Kings video
By Mark Knight
In a fun and viral video put out by the Sacramento Kings, players were asked to sign jerseys and posters. Mixed into those piles were printouts of their rival's logos. The Kings have two different Kentucky alums, and each responded in a hilarious way.
De'Aaron Fox was seen flipping through his pile of jerseys when he came across the North Carolina Tar Heels logo, and he, without missing a beat, grabbed it and ripped it to pieces. Then teammate Keegan Murray said, "I had North Carolina winning that game." Monk replied, "Where are all those guys now?" What a comeback. Kentucky currently has the most players in the league at 29, while North Carolina only has six.
Monk, on the other hand, ran across the Louisville logo and was genuinely confused. I think he thought at first the marketing team got confused that he went to Louisville instead of Kentucky. He said, "I ain't signing this! F*%$ Louisville, I went to Kentucky." He then realized the joke and had a good laugh about it.
There are other Kings in the video, but the best by far were the responses from Fox and Monk. Watch the video for yourself here:
It's great to see that these two players are still fiercely repping blue and white in the NBA. As Kentucky fans, you have to love this and love their replies.
Fox and Monk are looking to lead the Sacramento Kings to higher levels this year, as the Kings finished ninth in the Western Conference and barely made the playoffs. They will be looking for a much bigger year this year with the signing of DeMar DeRozan.
Fox is ranked as one of the best Kentucky players playing in the NBA this season, 9th in the power rankings, and Monk isn't far behind at 12th. Both could see a rise in those rankings as their team finds ways to put them in better positions. Shoutout to both for their hilarious responses to our rivals.
